EYE HEALTH AT ALL AGES
Just as our bodies change with age, so do our eyes and our vision. For some, it happens quickly; for others, it happens gradually. Good eyes are the alpha and omega for a good and active life. The ability to see clearly and sharply and switch quickly from darkness to light makes everyday life easier.
Recommendations for blueberries have been recorded since the 12th century. In more modern times, anecdotal stories have attributed the success of British fighter pilots in World War II to their keen eyesight, related to the copious consumption of blueberries.
Through modern science, we know today that blueberries - and especially the Nordic blueberries - contain so-called polyphenols, of which anthocyanidin is one of them. Blueberries contribute to eye health.
